Patriotic Parents - CALL to ACTION!

PDFPrintE-mail

It has been brought to the attention of WTPMM that an immediate call to action is necessary.

If you are concerned about your child's influence at public schools, please read the notes below and take a look at the Department of Education's website for verification of the information below. If at all possible you have opportunity to send a letter to your local school district as suggested in the information below, please do. The information below was provided to WTPMM by a concerned patriot, and the Steering Committee vote was unanimous to send this to the WTPMM distribution list right away.

Thank you for taking the time to secure our freedom as long as we may hold on to it!

Attention All Concerned Patriotic Parents:

President Barack Obama has recently taken administrative overreach to an unprecedented level with the announcement of a national address to the students of public Elementary and Secondary schools nationwide. This address is to take place on September 8th, and the President will be speaking directly to this nation's children without the consent or presence of their parents. Discussion after this address will be guided by NEA-funded and unionized teachers, and these teachers have been provided with questions which serve to encourage the children to mindlessly accept whatever is set forth in the address. This is an unprecedented and unconstitutional overreach on the part of the President and his education secretary, and our immediate action is required to stop this and future overreaches on the part of high-level government officials.

1. Forward this to everyone you know. Our strength is in numbers.

2. Send the following letter or something like it to the Principal and Board of Education members in your local community. Please include your name and as much personal information (address, etc.) as you feel comfortable sharing, as it is important for these officials to recognize that you are in their school district. Be certain to get any postal mail out no later than Thursday, September 3rd, as anything after that will arrive too late to allow them to change their plans.

Suggested letter starts here:

"To the Principal and Board of Education of _____________ Public School in the United States of America:

Be it known that we, the millions of Patriotic citizens across the nation, object to the interference of the President of the United States with the educational processes of the Elementary and Secondary schools in the U.S.A.

The Constitution provides no power to the President to participate in education at any level, and the writings of the founders of this great nation expressed clearly that education was the responsibility of parents first, and local faith-based organizations second. At no time was the Federal Government or any individual representing i! t ever a uthorized to be involved in the education of children. The constitution formally recognizes the importance of education, but prohibits the administration of education from the Federal Government in the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States.Be it further known that if the President obtains your co-operation in his unconstitutional attempt to address our children on school grounds, in our absence and without our consent, our children will be absent from school on the day that the Federal Education Funding census is taken. This will cost your school thousands of dollars per student, which may add up to billions of dollars of unappropriated funding for schools nationwide.

If you do not heed this message, our next message will come in the form of decreased funding for your institution. Consider carefully the consequences of the decreased funding for your school that will result from your decision to co-operate with the President's unconstitutional request. If you will not refuse his request out of love for the Constitutional limitations and separations of powers, refuse because of the financial incentive we set before you.

Most sincerely,________________________________

>Suggested letter ends above this line.

3. Follow up on your mail or e-mail with a phone call on Friday. Time is of the essence. Emphasize that you are completely serious and willing to deprive the school of funding by keeping our children home on funding census day if the school participates in this address. If you get the answering machine, do leave a message.

4. Consider being present at your local school on the morning of the scheduled address. Hand-delivering a signed copy of the letter you sent them will give them one more opportunity to reconsider their participation if they are undecided.

5. If your school participates in the video address ! confere nce, keep your children home on census day. Carrying out the promised consequences will ensure that the administrators of the school will pay much more attention to the wishes of the local community in the future.

We must immediately begin contacting our local education officials, as our window of time within which to respond is EXTREMELY small. Consider today's date, and that every government office will be closed on the 7th, the day before the scheduled address. We really only have 2 days to respond as of this writing, and we need to maximize our impact in those days. I look forward to hearing the news stories about the grassroots outcry from concerned citizens over this irresponsible, unconstitutional address to our impressionable youth.

As if I needed any more evidence to bolster today’s column about the Obama junior lobbyist campaign in America ’s schools, here’s another item fresh from the headlines in Utah:

A school principal has apologized for showing a video at an assembly that a politically conservative group leader is calling “radical, leftist propaganda.”

Children at Eagle Bay Elementary School in Farmington were shown a short video called “I pledge” on Aug. 28. The video opens with an image of President Barack Obama and part of a speech in which he says, “Let us summon a new spirit of patriotism, of responsibility where each of us resolves to pitch in and work harder and look after not only ourselves but each other.” The video then features celebrities making pledges about how they will help the president and the world — and that’s where some say the problem lies…

… Gayle Ruzicka, president of conservative Utah Eagle Forum, said the video was blatantly political. She said other offensive pledges included, “I pledge to be of service to Barack Obama,” “I pledge allegiance to the funk, to the united funk of funkadelica,” and pledges to not use plastic grocery bags and not flush the toilet after urinating.

“It’s very inappropriate to show a radical, leftist propaganda piece that political to children,” Ruzicka said. “If parents want their children to learn about those things and do them in the home, wonderful, fine, but it’s not the place of the school to show a one-sided propaganda piece to children without parents knowing about it.”

Cieslewicz said such values should be decided in the home, not at school.

Video of what they will be showing as well. The president serves us we don’t serve him he seems confused!

Decades of increased education spending have yielded little academic progress. Academic achievement nationally has flat lined, and graduation rates are no better today than they were in 1970. But despite these historic levels of education funding, the Obama administration, at the behest of teachers unions, is seeking to further inflate funding for the public education sector.
